Human Rights

Fundamentally, being a human rights lawyer means challenging discrimination and defending the rights and freedoms of ordinary people and organisations. On an international level this means safeguarding those rights and freedoms no matter where in the world they are under threat.

We engage in a multitude of tasks that include the drafting of important legal documents, performing research on legal cases, negotiating difficult settlements, and arguing human rights cases in and outside court.

We work with several International Conventions and Treaties, and have assisted to write submissions on behalf of various stakeholders to the United Nations.

Human Rights Lawyers are at the forefront to tackle human rights violations around the world. We take on cases that concern the inherent dignity of our clients. We protect the rights of vulnerable populations, marginalised groups, women, children, indigenous peoples, refugees, LGBTI communities and others. Working as a human rights practise means advocating for people who have suffered from great injustices. We hold states, and belligerent groups to account after they have committed human rights violations or abuses.
